Hi all.....my name is Sal Pienschke, aka Mr. P. I wanted to ​

take a moment and tell you a little about myself. I live just outside of Chicago and I teach elementary art. I have been doing this for over 30 years now. I'm looking to wind down my career and am looking to retire in about 9 years or so.

I am not married but I do have a girlfriend, Dani....she is the light of my life. I also have two kids, Anna 23 and Chris 19. Those three people are the most important people in my life. I also have a large dog, Samson. He's is an Australian Shepard mix. Don't ask me what he's mixed with, I have no idea. 

​

I am a big football fan, the Bears are my team. I'm hoping for a great season. I read, a lot. Mostly thrillers, horror, some sci-fi, and self help. Currently I am taking courses to become a life coach, for life after teaching. I am working on a website and blog for that as well so check back now and then. 

​

I'm an active artist too. I love to draw and paint. As you can see from the picture at the right, I like to draw cartoons. Soon I am going to self publish a book of cartoon strips called Primary Colors. I hope it does well. I'm also writing and illustrating a children's book titled Where's Carly. I hope to have that published within the next year or so. I do like to create. I would encourage you to check out My Work page for more of my stuff.
